Dr. Travis Shepherd
Dr. Travis Shepherd first got interested in dentistry while completing his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Neuroscience. He then attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he graduated with Cum Laude Honors, and served as student chair of admissions. After completion of dental school Dr. Shepherd was trained at the University of Colorado Hospital in a General Practice Residency program. There he gaining more advanced training in IV sedation, wisdom tooth removal, complex prosthodontics, implant dentistry, care for medically compromised patients, and endodontics. After completion of his residency he practiced in Payson, Arizona prior to relocating to Farmington, NM where he joined Country Club Family Dental Care and Sundance Dental & Orthodontics in 2010.
Dr. Shepherd is skilled in most areas of dentistry, but focuses attention in the areas dealing with IV sedation, Implants, oral surgery, aesthetic dentistry, prosthetics, as well as general family dentistry. He is married, and he and his wife have 5 wonderful children. Dr. Shepherd and his family enjoy spending time outdoors and being involved in sports. He is an active member of the LDS church, and enjoys volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America. Dr. Shepherd is also an active member of the local dental society and a member of the ADA, Academy of General Dentistry, and Academy of LDS dentists.
