Dr Swagerty attended Loma Linda University Dental School and then served in the US Army for 21 years. While in the Army he attended a 2 year Advanced Education General Dentistry residency and deployed to Afghanistan twice and was stationed in Germany, Texas, New Mexico and Alaska. After retiring from the Army he moved to New Mexico to be closer to family.
